The End of Special Ed

August 12, 2021

Could artificial intelligence (AI) end special education as we know it? Students with special needs often require specially designed instruction, yet programs are perennially understaffed and educators suffer from excessive workloads, resulting in poor student outcomes. AI can solve several chronic challenges in special ed, including freeing educators to spend more time teaching and less time on paperwork as well as equipping students with intensive, individualized interventions needed to master goals and make faster progress.
