In the Role

Responsible for providing remote, digital reading intervention and documentation in accordance with student learning plans and program requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 reading intervention 
  • Provide daily small group lesions in accordance with program requirements
  • Progress monitor student growth and academic performance 
  • Collaborates with the classroom teachers and building staff to support meeting proficiency on standards and to coordinate the need for support/intervention
  • Collaborates with grade-level teachers and administration to develop and support student learning plans
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • TX Teaching Certificate: appropriate grade level required
  • Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience
  • Teaching Endorsement (e.g., 'Elementary,' Generalist,' etc.) required; Elementary Reading Interventionist Endorsement preferred
  • Graduate coursework or degree in Education, Language Arts or related field preferred
  • Dyslexia Specialist/CALT preferred
  • Reading Specialist Certification preferred
  • Experience providing services via telehealth preferred
  • Special Education Teaching Certification preferred
  • Clear communication skills both written and verbally
  • Strong organization and task management skills
