Occupational Therapist (remote)

Summary: Responsible for providing remote, digital occupational therapy assessment, treatment, and documentation according to each student’s Individual Education Plan; as collaborating with educational teams regarding the participation challenges of each student in the educational environment.



  • Provide direct occupational therapy in accordance with the mandated Individual Education Plan. 
  • Screen students for fine motor, sensory, body awareness, motor planning & daily living deficits and disorders 
  • Document assessment and treatment consistent with professional practice standards
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and attend meetings
  • Complete daily session documentation in SOAP format according to Medicaid guidelines
  • Complete monthly or quarterly progress reports 
  • Participate in staff meetings and/or trainings as needed
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • May include remote supervision of COTAs working onsite in the school setting



  • State Board Licensure for Occupational Therapy Practice
  • Department of Education certification in applicable states
  • NBCOT Board Certification as an Occupational Therapist
  • Knowledge of current trends in delivery of school-based occupational therapy services focused on participation
  • Minimum of 2 year experience working in a school-based setting preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience with assistive technology preferred
  • Experience providing services via telehealth preferred
